Hello pancake connoisseurs,
It's been a while since we updated, and for that I apologize. Much of it is my fault, since I went MIA in New Zealand for about five months. But now I am back and cosplaying once again! To make up for my absence from the convention scene, I'm attending Anime Los Angeles this weekend with
and Hole; we'll be braving the 16-hour drive from Portland to Los Angeles starting Wednesday night. Wish me luck!
Oh, and I'm finally debuting a new costume (one that isn't related to Valve games, believe it or not)! Brook from One Piece!

I read all of One Piece while in New Zealand (being ronery). It actually kept me interested for 600+ chapters... Amazing.
Oh, and for those of you who care, I'll also be doing Nick from Left 4 Dead 2 again, and hopefully get some group photos with the other survivors coming with me! I feel bad for not having any photos of that costume on here.
SO YES if you're going to ALA this weekend, see you there!

Spy for Sale

here,I don't want my RED Spy suit anymore [I want to make a BLU one, like I always have] so I'd like to sell it to someone who does want it.
The fabric was custom dyed and pinstriped through our combined efforts, and the suit was made from scratch.
It's fully lined and pretty nice, and I'd like $150 + shipping for it.
It fits someone of 5'8 34-25-36-ish dimensions. Please don't ask if it'll fit you if you're much bigger than this, because it can't be altered much at all.

As of this moment [in case you decide to vote after knowing the truth...] the poll is 57 for me, and 53 for Kibs.
And guess what... the 57 votes guessed right! My boobs are huge!

Actually, no. You're wrong. Kibs is about 2 cups larger than me, at the same band size. So her breasts are bigger. I'M SURE YOU ALL WANTED TO KNOW.
Anyhow... Woah, every line started with an A so far.
Anime Evolution.
I went on Friday and -dun dun dun- did not cosplay. I mostly spent the entire day chilling with Tavi and going to the Artists' Villa, Dealers' Hall and events. We finished the evening by watching AMVs; well, we did this on both nights. This is the kind of stuff we used to do together all the time in the days before cosplay became serious business for me. So it was pretty refreshing.
I mostly kept an eye out for all the commissions I made for AE this year; unfortunately, I only got to see two of them.
wore one of them, and pulled it off very well. I was very happy with how it turned out - and so was he - so I can't wait to see him upload some photos of that.
On Saturday I cosplayed Sheryl with
and 
. It was super hot, so we didn't really do much. We had some photos taken of us by CliffNordman, but he has not uploaded them yet. kolibri-chan took some photos of us too, so those are the ones we've uploaded are coming from.
After the photoshoot with Cliff, I was invited to judge the Final Fantasy Fight Tournament because one of the girls couldn't make it. Last year we participated in the game in our Howl's Moving Castle cosplays, so I had some idea of what was going on, but it was still a very interesting experience. Last year the audience got to 'vote' before the judges cast theirs, but this year this portion was eliminated [time constraints, etc.] so we had to make the judgment.
I did make some suggestions to rile up the audience though [sorry, Kenshiro], like voting against the other judge and forcing a tie break; and then I suggested we make them cheer for their favourite team just once. Because come on, it's just more fun that way; and doing it once doesn't waste that much time. :3c
Oh, and, my favourite team won. And I got a hug out of it.
Following that, Tavi [who showed up late after work and ended up with the best seat in the house next to my judge seat at the Tournament] and I went to the AMV room once again, pigged out on beef jerky, pocky, and Green Tea Ginger Ale, and went home. Well, we went to her place and I crashed there. Going home is overrated.
On Sunday, I went home and slept instead of going to the con...
But yeah, it was a pretty boring convention overall, but hanging out with friends made it enjoyable. It was also hot as hell, and my feet were super swollen by the end of Saturday, so maybe that made the experience a little less... fun. Idk.
But yeah.
is in New Zealand, doing Kiwi stuff. Like going to Kiwi universities and learning Kiwi English. My school starts up again on September 7th, and I'm not sure how much time/money I'll have to dedicate to cosplay; so I don't know if I should make any plans at all right now. We'll see what happens.
